Aspen Suites Hotel Downtown Anchorage is preparing to open, and we are building our opening Food & Beverage team! We are seeking two Bartenders, one Full-Time and one Part-Time, who bring personality, professionalism, and a love for great guest service. If you enjoy crafting drinks, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and being the friendly face of the bar — this role may be perfect for you.

Bartender — Full Time & Part Time Available

Position Purpose:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, managing inventory, maintaining an organized bar area, and providing an engaging experience for our guests. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and strong guest-service skills. Light food service may also be required. Experience required - must possess a valid Alaska TAMS certification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked bar environment
  • Monitor product levels and assist with inventory and ordering
  • Handle payments, operate POS system, and follow cash-handling procedures
  • Engage guests, offer recommendations, upsell when appropriate
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and uphold all TAMS safety guidelines
  • Provide basic food service support when needed
  • Respond to guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and quick solutions

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Prior bartending experience required
  • Must hold a current Alaska TAMS card
  • Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer & wine service
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in tight spaces
  • POS and cash-handling skills preferred
  • Friendly, personable, and guest-focused mindset
